This amazing taping method was developed by Dr. Kenzo Kase over 25 years ago in Japan. Since then, Kinesio® taping has become the gold standard for therapeutic and rehabilitative taping. This proprietary method of taping uses a uniquely designed and patented tape for treatment of muscular disorders and lymphoedema reduction, among other things.
It helps prevent overuse or over-contraction and facilitates lymph flow 24 hours a day as it can be worn for several days after application, allowing the individual to receive therapeutic benefits in comfort and ease.
Currently, Kinesio® tex taping is used in hospitals, clinics, and by professional sports teams. MLD therapists, including Helen Bell, often use it on stubborn lymphoedema.
